SKANIA

SKANIA is a French dubstep and riddim producer based in Montpellier, operating under the handle skaniadubz. He describes himself as a “french truck driver” and directs listeners toward dubplate sales and bookings by email. His work centers on bass music, with a catalogue built around VIPs, remixes, and dubplates.

His online presence points to a direct-to-fan approach built around unreleased cuts and custom edits. SKANIA links dubplate sales through pl8list and uses Instagram as part of his artist footprint. Tracks associated with him include “CHIBS - KNOCK KNOCK (SKANIA REMIX) [FREE DL],” “IXE VIP [DUBPLATE],” and “SUBSIST - 1 (SKANIA VIP) [CLIP],” underscoring a focus on VIP versions and one-off dubplate material rather than standard album cycles.

“CHIBS - KNOCK KNOCK (SKANIA REMIX) [FREE DL]” was made available with a Hypeddit free-download link, while “IXE VIP [DUBPLATE]” was tied to pl8list through his description. He also references “SPESH or stems,” reinforcing a workflow shaped by exclusives, edits, and unreleased material. “SKANIA - IXE [2K FREEBIE]” also appeared in the Major League Riddim catalog, matching the naming used on his other releases.

Live and media presence remains limited, but SKANIA was booked on the line-up for “RIDDIM ROOM - AKIRAH, IVORY, SKANIA & more” in Montpellier. His public profile is built largely around SoundCloud uploads, direct sales links, and remix and dubplate culture rather than a long trail of label EPs or major festival appearances.
