Izzy Vadim is a Montreal-based bass music and dubstep artist from Laval, Québec. His sound has been described by Insomniac as grungy, underground, and bouncy, with an emphasis on grooves meant to move a crowd rather than pure headbanging. That profile places him firmly in bass and dubstep territory.
Vadim began making music after first playing in a rock band until age 18, then discovering electronic music and developing a passion for dubstep around age 20. His breakout came with “Sleep Paralysis” in 2019, which received support from Excision and Subtronics and led to a feature in Subtronics’ “Now That’s What I Call Riddim” mix series. He began performing in the United States in 2022 and toured Mexico in 2023.
“STYROFOAM RIDDIM” arrived in 2022, followed by the “Swamp EP” on Kannibalen Records. In 2023, the viral single “Pop Lock & Drop It” was released as an official remix on Ultra Records, and “Let’s Get Out of Here” marked a stylistic shift. “Contaminated Crops” followed in 2024, and the “Radioactive EP” arrived in 2025, along with a later “Smoke Sesh” release.
His live run has included U.S. shows in 2022, a Mexico tour in 2023, and an upcoming bill with Sqishi in Denver on Insomniac. He has also been linked to Corson Agency bookings. His catalog and touring activity point to an artist building a strong presence in contemporary bass music.
