INFEKT

INFEKT is a German dubstep and riddim producer now based in Los Angeles, known for a heavy, dark and playful approach to bass music that emphasizes sound design, call-and-response drops and live energy. He has described his goal as making music that feels fun in a room with friends, while press has characterized his work as deep, roomy and moody, with roots in the original riddim aesthetic.

He got into production in 2010 after his father showed him FL Studio, then dug into dubstep through UKF uploads from artists such as Datsik, Flux Pavilion and Doctor P. He said he began uploading ideas to SoundCloud because it was where his favorite artists were active, and by the time he was 16 he was already releasing music. A UKF interview noted that he was influenced early by Subfiltronik, DJ Shiverz and Coffi, and that he became part of the Monsters crew after playing a show in Belgium in front of them.

His early releases landed on Circus, NSD Black Label, Disciple, Round Table, Smog, Savage Society and Duploc. The Activated EP came out on Disciple Round Table in 2018, followed by the Disruption EP on the same label in 2020, the Kaizen EP in 2020 and the Breakout EP in 2022. In 2026, he released ORGANIC DUBSTEP through his own Port Zero label, which he said was created to give artists and fans a shared space around the genre.

INFEKT has appeared at major bass-music events including Lost Lands, where he released live sets in 2023 and 2025, and he has continued touring and posting festival updates. His recent work also includes collaborations, including with SampliFire on the 2025 release ECHO, and he has presented Port Zero as an active home for new material and scene-building releases.
