CALCIUM

Calcium is a Texas-born bass music producer based in the United States, known for dubstep and riddim. In an Insomniac profile, his sound was described as pushing the boundaries of dubstep and riddim, and he has identified himself as “Mr. Teeth N Bones,” noting a hearing impairment in his right ear since birth.

Coverage in EDM press places the start of his production journey at age 14, when he began making music and drew inspiration from 50 Carrot and Requake. By 2021, he had earned support from Excision, Kayzo, Svdden Death, and Subtronics, and he had moved from early underground releases into larger-label campaigns. EDM Identity reported that his first label release was the To The Bone EP on Bassweight Records.

His early catalog includes the To The Bone EP on Bassweight Records, followed by Skull Vault on Never Say Die Black Label in 2019. In 2021, he released the Dissolve EP on Disciple and the Deep Streets EP on Never Say Die Records, with Run The Trap and EDMTunes both covering Deep Streets at release. Insomniac also noted back-to-back EPs on Never Say Die Records and Disciple in 2021, and an EP on Bassrush in 2022. Bassweight Records has also counted him among its artists.

Live coverage and festival listings show a steady run on the bass-music circuit: Insomniac said he performed at Beyond Wonderland in 2022 and had a strong festival season that summer, alongside support dates with Excision. His catalog also includes collaborations and remixes with MAD DUBZ and tracks such as “Restraint” with Wooli.
